Haiti Relief and Winning Story Live at Paper Fruit: J.T. Glover’s “Waning Moon”
First off, if you're only now hearing about the shitstorm of awful Haiti has found itself in from my blog you probably need to alter your internet priorities. That said, they need all the help they can get, so here's the link to donate via Red Cross--it looks like you can even do so by texting with the donation being added to your phone bill...and if anyone has other avenues of aid to suggest please let me know. I'm relieved to hear that my friend Shawn's parents, who live there, are alright, but obviously a whole helluva lot of people aren't.
Second, and less depressing, Molly has now published the winning story from her Paper Fruit Blogiversary Flash Fiction Contest: J.T. Glover's "Waning Moon." Big congrats to J.T., as well as Drew White for placing as Runner-up and S.J. Chambers for taking Honorable Mention, and to my fellow losers I say vengeance will one day be be ours, if only our hate burns hot enough to re-forge destiny.
