Last Day of Gemmell Award Voting. Also: Reading, Blathering
Just popping in from my whirlwind Florida tour to mention that today is the last day of voting for the David Gemmell Awards. Voting is locked at midnight GMT, meaning in just a few hours for those here in the states--The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart is up for the Morningstar Award for best debut, as is my friend Amanda Downum's rather badass The Drowning City. Voting is as simple as clicking on this here link and then choosing your favorite, and after today you'll hear nary a peep from me on such matters for the foreseeable future--I really appreciate everyone voting me on to the shortlist in the first place, and of course your continued patience with these sorts of posts. This week has been utter madness, and we've got a week more to go, so if you're expecting an email of any consequence it may be just a little bit longer...oh, and I've got a reading at Fermentation Lounge in Tallahassee at 7:00 PM EST tomorrow, so if you're around feel free to stop by. Cheers!
