Story Sold To Brain Harvest, A Review, And A Clumsy Thank You To Readers

I recently found out that my nigh-flash short story "Conventions of the Genre" sold to Brain Harvest, a very cool mag. It'll go up in March and I'll of course post more about it then but for now I'm very happy and thankful--can't stress enough what a neat site they are. I also found out that The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart got a great write-up in the Telegraph (the first time, as far as I can recall,  my work has been called a "tour de force"--juicy!) so big thanks to Peter Ingham for the review.

This weekend's been shaping up to be fairly busy so I ought to get back to the Enterprise revisions but before I did I wanted to mention that ever since the Brothers Grossbart dropped in November I've been receiving really great letters from fans of the book. This is every bit as welcome and appreciated as it was unexpected--hearing from readers who enjoyed the book  puts me in this euphoric, giddy mood, and more than once I've had a shitty day get swung completely around by a quick note from a stranger. I think I've stayed on top of thanking people personally--and if you sent me something and I never responded then please do remind me and accept my apologies for being a flake--but thinking about it today I wanted to issue a large and not-at-all itchy blanket thank you to everyone who has taken a chance on my writing, even if you only read the first chapter and decided I was a sick fucking bastard and took the book back to the store the next day--even you, Grandma, even you. I quite literally couldn't do this bizzaro writing career thing without you, the reader, and I can't thank you enough.
