The Art of The Enterprise of Death, a Guest Blog, and More Reviews and Interviews
Today was actually going to be the first non-Enterprise related post in ages, followed by a second entry with some guest blogs, reviews, etc. Unfortunately, LJ just gobbled up my last forty-five minutes worth of scribbling without, somehow, the option of restoring from a draft, so the (slightly--let's not get crazy here) less onanistic blogging will have to wait on another day. For now, here's a quick rundown of sundry links:
- I have an essay at the Orbit blog on Niklaus Manuel Deutsch, the artist who plays a major role in the novel as well as providing the cover art. The column provided me with the opportunity to display examples of his work that are referenced in the novel, which, I think, adds another dimension to the book.
- Rob Will has a great review of the novel over at his site Rob Will Review--he actually wasn't fond of the Brothers Grossbart but loved Enterprise. Thanks, Rob!
- A few more reviews have blipped across the radar, with two showing up today: one from Total Sci-Fi, and another from blogger Dragonfly419. Thanks so much to everyone helping to get the word out about my particular sort of weird!
- I believe I spaced on linking to two quick interviews, one with Jeremy L.C. Jones at Booklife and another with Angela Slatter at her site. Belated thanks to the both of you!
- I've got an entry on what I've been pleasure reading over at the site Writers Read--shout-outs to Stephen Graham Jones, Livia Llewellyn, and Joseph M. McDermott!
And that's the news. I'll try again with something not quite so self-indulgent in a day or two, but for now I hope all is well out there in the world that I can't actually prove exists.
