What’s The Weirdest Book You’ve Ever Read, Plus Black Ox Orkestar

Over at the Mad Hatter's blog the question was put to me, as well as Ekaterina Sedia, Lev Grossman, Gail Carriger, Jeffrey Thomas, Blake Charlton, Alex Bledsoe, and others, with predictably varied and interesting results. Check it out, and while you're at it weigh in with the weirdest thing you've ever read--a very fun prompt, and my TBR stack has swelled a bit in the result.

Finally starting to give up some Enterprise revision time to plotting out the next project, and helping me in this is Black Ox Orkestar's album Nisht Azoy. Big thanks to Molly for the great gift--Black Ox is all kinds of awesome. I have no idea what is up with this video but it's the only one I could find with a track from this album:

Anyone out there have music recs? A new project means a new playlist, and for now I'm envisioning Ratatat covering Basil Pouledaris' Conan the Barbarian soundtrack bookended by nouveau traditional stuff like Black Ox Orkestar and A Hawk and a Hacksaw--just need to get Ratatat on board...
