The Enterprise of Death Advance Reading Copy Contest RESULTS

So the clock has run down and the jig is now up--as promised, below are the winners and runners-up for the Enterprise of Death Contest that began a little over a week ago. I honestly liked all of the entries so this was tougher than I anticipated--I wish I had more galleys to give away, but alas, I have but three. I will, however, give-away five runner-up prizes instead of two, because, as should be painfully obvious by my writing, I am the world's biggest sweetheart. Said runners-up will each receive a copy of the Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart audio book, should they desire it, read with much gusto by Christopher Lane.

And if you didn't win a copy of the galley, keep in mind that e-book editions are readily available through www.netgalley.com--you'll have to sign up and request it from Orbit, but the process is free and easy, just make sure to tell Orbit where you'll be reviewing it, even if it's just your own blog. Without further ado, then, here they are, and again, I really wish I could send copies to everyone, as there wasn't a single entry that I didn't appreciate on some level--some made me swoon with appreciation, others made me giggle.

The Runners-Up:

The Winners:

2. Nick submitted Francis Bacon's "Figure with Meat," which, given that the piece is a grotesque subversion of earlier artistic styles and masters, and the subject is a parody of a Pope, makes this rather apropos.
