A Blade of Black Steel Unsheathed!

This week marks the official release of A Blade of Black Steel, the sequel to A Crown for Cold Silver.  If you appreciated the first book, you’ll find this one is doing all kinds of new things—plus everything you loved from before turned up to 11. If you haven’t started the Crimson Empire trilogy yet, now’s the time! A Crown for Cold Silver racked up glowing reviews all over the map, and made the Tiptree Award Honor List and is currently a contender on the David Gemmell Legend Award Longlist, so you don’t have to take my word for it.

Huge thanks to everyone who’s taken one trip to the Star already and helped spread the word about what is, by most accounts, a somewhat unorthodox project. I literally couldn’t do this without your support, and hope you enjoy reading A Blade of Black Steel as much as I enjoyed writing it! Cheers.

Thank you Jesus..I thought you’d stopped writing…I’m so glad. Please give us more of your first two books plus more.

    • Thanks, Jason, hope you like the new books!

    • Thanks, Jason, and sorry for the lag-both in replying to this comment, and in announcing I’ve actually written more in the last three years than I have in the previous five! Hope you enjoy this new project, and all the best!

I have finished A Blade of Black Steel and I’m dying for book 3. I love these even more than Jesse’s 3 previous works (something I thought impossible). When will book 3 be available for my reading pleasure? When?!!!!

    • Thanks so much for reading, Lisa, and for the kind words. This is music to my ears-every artist wants to hear they’re getting better! I mean, *I* think I’m improving, but then what do I know?

And as for when Book III will drop, I’m afraid it’ll be a bit longer yet, as I’m still rewriting the damn thing! Hopefully by this time next year we’ll see the hardcover-sorry for the long turnaround, but I’m writing as fast as I can, I promise!

Drats! I’ve been searching & searching for info re: book 3. I read about 3 books per week so that’s a lot of books in a year or more. It took me most of book 2 to remember most of book 1. I’m looking forward to book 3 of the Crimson Empire.

        • Thanks so much for reading, StevieLynn, and apologies for taking so long to reply-this slipped through the cracks somehow. Maybe by the time the third one finally arrives you’ll be do for a re-read of the first ones! Seriously jealous of your reading skills, I’m lucky if I get through three books a month…

Perhaps I’ll re-read the first two so it’s all nice and fresh. I love me some Maroto.

  5. Hello,
    Mr. Jesse
I want to know whether the book The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart has Chinese version. I like this book very much. And I want to translate this book into Chinese if the book has no Chinese version.
    Looking forward to your reply.
